The Polaroids

Every model starts with polaroids: no styling, no retouching, just you against a wall. These are the first polaroids Ray Diaz ever shot, in Miami in 2009, at the start of a career that would lead to Wilhelmina in New York, national campaigns, and magazine covers. This is where the look began.

From expo stage to national campaigns

Ray Diaz on stage at the Model and Talent Expo in Dallas, Texas, 2009 — Model and Talent Expo, Dallas, 2009. The Mike Beaty expo, judged by agents, managers and casting directors. Ray took first place in every category he entered and left with the trophies and a twenty thousand dollar scholarship offer to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.
